Titiek Puspa

Nama "Titiek Puspa" diambil dari Titiek yang merupakan nama panggilannya sehari-hari dan Puspa dari 'Puspo' nama bapaknya. Nama ini pula yang diambil untuk nama orkes pengiringnya "PUSPA SARI" yang dipimpinnya sendiri dan mengiringinya menyanyi di awal kariernya.

Awal karier bernyanyinya dimulai di Semarang, kota di mana Titiek Puspa yang kini disebut sebagai diva legendaris oleh Majalah Wanita KARTINI, mengikuti kontes menyanyi "Bintang Radio". Tidak hanya sampai di bidang menyanyi saja, 'eyang Titik' juga menunjukan totalitasnya dalam menggarap beberapa operet yang sempat sangat disukai pemirsa TVRI, seperti operet bawang Merah Bawang Putih,Ketupat Lebaran, Kartini Manusiawi Kartini dan Ronce-ronce.

Rekaman piringan hitamnya yang pertama dengan label GEMBIRA, berisi lagu Di Sudut Bibirmu, Esok Malam Kau Kujelang, dan duet bersama Tuty Daulay dalam lagu Indada Siririton, iringan musik Empat Sekawan Sariman. Pada pertengahan 1960, Titiek Puspa sempat menjadi penyanyi tetap pada Orkes Studio Jakarta. Saat itu Titiek Puspa banyak mendapat bimbingan dari Iskandar (pencipta lagu dan pemimpin orkes) dan Zainal Ardi (suaminya sendiri seorang announcer Radio Republik Indonesia Jakarta). Sebagai penyanyi yang mulai menanjak popularitasnya, Titiek belum menciptakan banyak lagu dalam albumnya, lagu-lagunya banyak diciptakan misalnya oleh Iskandar, Mus Mualim, ada juga Wedasmara. Barulah pada album Si Hitam dan Pita (1963) yang berisi 12 lagu tiap albumnya semuanya adalah ciptaannya sendiri dan menjadi populer saat itu, selain itu juga album Doa Ibu berisi 12 lagu, 11 lagu adalah ciptaannya dengan 1 lagu ciptaan Mus Mualim. Dari album Si Hitam, lagu yang semakin memopulerkan namanya adalah Si Hitam, Tinggalkan, Aku dan Asmara. Bisa juga dikatakan bahwa bersama album Si Hitam, album Doa Ibu adalah album yang legendaris karena berisi lagu-lagu Minah Gadis Dusun, Pantang Mundur, yang semakin menancapkan Titiek Puspa sebagai penyanyi dan pencipta lagu Indonesia yang baik.

Niccolò Paganini

Niccolò Paganini dilahirkan di Genoa pada 27 Oktober 1782, oleh pasangan Antonio dan Teresa (sebelumnya Bocciardo) Paganini. Menurut penulis biografinya Peter Lichtenthl, pertama kali Paganini belajar bermain mandolin ialah diajari oleh ayahnya pada saat ia berusia lima tahun, lalu pindah ke biola pada usia tujuh dan mulai mengarang pada saat ia berusia delapan. Ia bermain di depan publik pertama kalinya pada waktu berumur 12 tahun. Di masa mudanya ini, ia belajar dari berbagai guru, termasuk Giovanni Servetto dan Alessandro Rolla, namun ia tidak dapat menguasai dirinya sendiri seiring dengan kesuksesannya; pada umur 16 tahun ia suka bermain judi dan minum minuman keras. Pada waktu itulah kariernya diselamatkan oleh seorang wanita yang tidak diketahui identitasnya, yang membawa Paganini ke rumahnya dimana Paganini pulih dari kebiasaan buruknya dan kembali belajar biola selama tiga tahun. Ia juga bermain gitar pada saat itu.

Ia kembali muncul ke khalayak publik pada saat ia berusia 23 tahun, dengan menjadi direktur musik saudara perempuan Napoleon, Elisa Baciocchi, Putri dari Lucca, pada saat ia tidak tur. Tidak lama kemudian ia menjadi legenda karena kemahirannya bermain biola yang tidak tertandingi, dengan debutnya ke Milan pada 1813, Vienna 1828, dan London serta Paris pada 1831. Paganini adalah salah satu orang pertama, bahkan mungkin orang pertama, yang melakukan tur sebagai artis solo, tanpa pemain musik pengiring. Ia menjadi salah seorang 'superstar' pertama-tama dalam hal konser publik. Ia menjadi kaya dan terkenal sebagai pemain musik tur, dan tidak terkalahkan dalam hal memikat pendengarnya.Sebuah mitos yang merebak luas tentang Paganini ialah bahwa ia menjual jiwanya kepada setan sebagai ganti teknik bermain biolanya, sebuah rumor yang mana ia sendiri merasa tersanjung, dan bisa jadi dimulai oleh dirinya sendiri. Pada saat ia bermain musik, bola matanya akan berputar sampai ke belakang, sehingga hanya tampak putihnya. Cara berdirinya yang lenggang, dengan rambut tipis panjang dan kusut, serta postur tubuhnya yang kurus cekung, semakin menambah rumor tentang dirinya. Ia bermain begitu bersemangatnya hingga para wanita terjatuh pingsan dan para pria akan menangis tersedu-sedu.Biola yang dipakai Paganini dikenal sebagai Cannone Guarnerius, nama yang diberikan paganini untuk mencerminkan suara 'cannon' yang dikeluarkannya. Senarnya hampir berada pada satu permukaan datar, kebalikan dari semua biola yang lain dimana senarnya membentuk satu lengkungan untuk menghindari menggesek senar yang lain. Dengan demikian Paganini dapat memainkan tiga bahkan empat senar secara mudah pada biolanya.Di Paris pada 1833, ia memesan sebuah musik konser biola dari Hector Berlioz, yang akhirnya menghasilkan Harold di Italy (Harold in Italy) untuknya, namun Paganini tidak pernah memainkannya.

Kesehatannya mulai menurun setelah ia didiagnosis penyakit kanker tenggorokan. Penyakitnya membuatnya kehilangan kemampuan berbicara, namun ia tetap bermain biola hingga akhir hayatnya. Malam terakhir sebelum kematiannya dikatakan bahwa ia masih berusaha bermain biola secara tidak sadar. Ia meninggal di Nice pada 27 Mei 1840.Musik orkestra Paganini dinilai sopan, tidak bertele-tele, dan suportif. Kritik mengatakan bahwa musik konsernya menggunakan terlalu banyak kata-kata dan terlalu menggantungkan kepada formula tertentu: salah satu bagian terakhirnya sering kali digantikan dengan yang lain. Selama kariernya, bagian biola dari konsernya disimpannya sendiri. Paganini akan melatih orkestranya tanpa memainkan bagian biolanya secara keseluruhan. Menjelang ajalnya, hanya dua yang telah diterbitkan. Keturunan dari Paganini dengan cerdiknya menerbitkan satu demi satu, setelah jeda waktu beberapa tahun. Saat ini ada enam konser musik Paganini yang telah diterbitkan (walaupun dua yang terakhir kehilangan bagian orkestranya). Komposisinya yang sering menggunakan alat musik gitar dan senar, terutama biola, telah menjadi bagian dari repertori baku.Paganini juga mengembangkan jenis musik variasi konser untuk biola solo, dengan cara mengambil tema yang sederhana dan naif, dan variasi lirik yang berselang-seling dengan memainkannya dengan semangat yang menyala-nyala yang membuat pendengarnya menganga mulutnya.

Impian Angsa Kecil

Di sekolah harapan bangsa ada seorang siswi yang bernamana Hilda, Jurusan Ilmu pengetahuan Alam. sekarang dia sudah kelas Tiga SMA. Pada hari senin, tepatnya pada jam istirahat di sekolah SMA Harapan Bangsa, Hilda, maya, mawar, Dimas dan teman-teman yang lainnya belajar. Pada jam istirahat tiba, hilda dan teman-temanya keluar dari kelas untuk sekedar membeli jajanan setelah penat belajar. Mereka duduk di bangku di bawah pohon besar yang sejuk tempat mereka biasa membeli jajanan dan mengobrol.
“Engga terasa yah sekarang kita sudah kelas tiga dan sebentar lagi kita lulus.” ucap Dimas.

“Iya, nanti kita akan berpisah dan menjalani kehidupan masing-masing”. Jawab Hilda.“o ya, kalian mau melanjutkan kemana? Tanya maya.
Mereka pun menjawab secara bergiliran
“kalau saya mau kembali pulang ke kampung halaman saya, dan mencoba membantu orangtua saya disana untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari” jawab dimas
“ciyee Dimas, tumben pinter, ha ha.. (mawar yang sengaja menggoda dimas) saya juga sependapat dengan kamu, saya ingin kerja dulu, jika uang nya sudah mencukupi saya ingin melanjutkan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi lagi” jawab mawar
“kalian hebat, bagus sekali cita-cita kalian. Saya sangat mendukung kalian. Jika di Tanya saya mau melanjutkan kemana, saya ingin melanjutkan kuliah ke universitas yang saya inginkan. Dan kamu may, mau kemana?” saut Hilda
“saya ingin melanjutkan ke perguruan tinggi karena itu keinginan saya dan harapan orangtua saya.” Jawab maya.
Merekapun asyik berbincang-bincang tentang kelanjutan mereka setelah lulus nanti. Bel istirahat pun berbunyi, sudah saatnya untuk masuk kelas dan memulai belajar kembali.

Bel pun berbunyi kembali yang menandakan waktunya mereka harus pulang.
“Hilda, ayo siapkan teman-temanmu.” Ucap guru Hilda di kelas.
“baik pak” jawab Hilda.Hilda pun menyiapkan teman-temanya dan memberi salam kapada guru ada di kelas itu. Waktupun terus berlalu, Kelulusan pun telah tiba, hilda sangat sedih berpisah dengan sahabat-sahabatnya. Mulai hari itu hilda sudah bukan anak SMA yang berseragam putih abu-abu. Hilda pun seperti angsa kecil yang mulai mengepakan sayapnya, berusaha menjadi lebih baik dan mencari jati dirinya.
Sesampainya hilda di rumah dan beristirahat, bunda Hilda pun mendekatinya untuk sekedar berbincang-bincang tentang kelanjutan Hilda untuk ke perguruan tinggi.
“nak, kamu mau melanjutkan ke universitas mana setelah lulus nanti? Tanya bunda hilda

“Saya mau ke universitas negeri yang dekat dari tempat tinggal” jawab Hilda
“ayah, bunda, dan om kamu yang di Bandung menginginkan kamu kuliah universitas Pelita (universitas yang berada di Bandung).”
“saya engga mau kuliah jauh bunda, saya ingin kuliah di sekitar kota ini saja. Agar tidak jauh dari bunda dan ayah,”
Maklumlah, Hilda yang saat itu baru berusia delapan belas tahun, tidak ingin jauh dari orangtua nya. Walau pun Hilda pernah di undang untuk mengikuti tes beasiswa masuk perguruan tinggi di Jakarta. Kemudian Hilda pun melakukannya hanya untuk membahagiakan hati orang tuanya dan mencoba memberanikan diri untuk berpisah dengan orang tuanya. Namun kenyataan nya lain, hilda hanya mendapatkan 75% beasiswa dari tes tersebut. Perasaannya pun bercampur antara senang dan sedih. Senang karena dia tidak jadi kuliah di luar kota dan sedih karena tidak mendapatkan beasiswa penuh, sedangkan orang tuanya menginginkanya.”

Setelah kelulusan, Hilda rajin mencari informasi tentang perguruan tinggi yang dia inginkan. Mulai dari browsing, menanyakan ke teman-teman yang ingin melanjutkan kuliah, menanyakan ke saudara-saudaranya yang sedang kuliah maupun yang sudah lulus.
Pilihanan pun sudah ada di tangan Hilda, dia ingin melanjutkan di universitas negeri Nusantara karena bertempat tidak terlalu jauh dari rumahnya. Hilda pun mengatakan kepada orangtuanya tentang keinginan nya dan meyakinkan orangtuanya bahwa pilihannya itu terbaik dan bisa merubah keadaan lebih baik. Orangtuanya pun menyutujuinya. Perasaan nya bagaikan kupu-kupu terbang melayang-layang di taman bunga yang warnanya bermacam-macam sehingga menambah keindahan bunga di taman tersebut.

Hilda pun memulai daftar Seleksi nasional masuk perguruan tinggi negeri dengan sepupunya dan di temani teman sepupunya yang sudah kuliah di universitas yang hilda inginkan tersebut secara on line. Hilda berusaha sekuat tenaga supaya berhasil dalam seleksi tersebut, dia mulai mengurangi waktu main bersama teman-temannya untuk menggantikannya dengan waktu belajar. walaupun banyak yang mengatakan kapada Hilda bahwa yang mengikuti seleksi tersebut kemungkinan kecil untuk mendapatkannya. Di karenakan banyak yang berminat untuk masuk perguruan tinggi negeri.

Setelah satu bulan berlalu sudah saatnya Hilda untuk mengikuti mengikuti tes seleksi nasional masuk perguruan tingi tersebut. Keluarganya sangat mendukungnya. Kakak perempuan nya pun selalu ada di sampingnya, mulai dari melengkapi berkas-berkas untuk seleksi dan menghantarkan hilda ke tempat tujuan untuk tes. Tes berjalan dua hari, pagi buta hilda harus sudah berangkat supaya tidak terlambat, bagaimanapun tes tersebut sangat menentukan masa depannya.

Waktu berjalan dengan sendirinya dua bulan berlalu, tiba saat nya pengumuman test seleksi nasional masuk perguruan tinggi negeri. Orang tua nya pun mengetahui bahwa hari itu pengumumannya.
“hilda, hari ini pengumumannya yah, ayo bunda antarkan kamu untuk melihat pengumuman” ucap bunda hilda
“hmm.. iyah bunda, tapi nanti kalau aku tidak di terima, bunda jangan marah yah, he hee” (sambil senyum) jawab hilda
“iyah.. kalau pun kamu tidak di terima bunda tidak akan marah ko”

Sebenarnya hilda sudah punya rencana jika dia tidak di terima dalam tes tersebut, dia akan menunda kuliahnya dan akan mengikuti test lagi tahun depan. Walaupun orang tua nya tidak menyutujuinya, hilda yakin jikalau gagal itu biasa dan terus berusaha itu baru luar biasa.

Ketika hilda dan bundanya sudah sampai untuk melihat pengumuman tersebut, hati hilda seperti genderang yang terus di pukul mengeluarkan bunyi yang sangat keras, perasaannya bercampur aduk, gelisah, penasaran, takut, dan sebagainya. Begitu hilda dan bundanya melihat pengumuman tersebut ternyata hilda di terima sebagai mahasiswi di perguruan tinggi yang dia impikan. Hilda pun sangat bersyukur kepada Allah yang telah mengabulkan doanya. Berterima kasih kepada keluarga yang selalu mendukungnya setiap saat untuk menggapai impiannya.

Nb: kita harus yakin bahwa sukses itu mimpi besar yang harus di wujudkan dan harapan itu seperti sebuah masa depan, apa yang Kita kerjakan sekarang adalah hasil dari apa yang ingin kita raih untuk masa depan kita.

Planet Venus

Venus

Venus atau Bintang Kejora adalah planet terdekat kedua dari matahari setelah Merkurius. Planet ini memiliki radius 6.052 km dan mengelilingi Matahari dalam waktu 225 hari. Atmosfer Venus mengandung 97% karbondioksida (CO₂) dan 3% nitrogen, sehingga hampir tidak mungkin terdapat kehidupan.
Arah rotasi Venus berlawanan dengan arah rotasi planet-planet lain. Selain itu, jangka waktu rotasi Venus lebih lama daripada jangka waktu revolusinya dalam mengelilingi Matahari.
Kandungan atmosfernya yang pekat dengan CO₂ menyebabkan suhu permukaannya sangat tinggi akibat efek rumah kaca. Atmosfer Venus tebal dan selalu diselubungi oleh awan. Pakar astrobiologi berspekulasi bahwa pada lapisan awan Venus termobakteri tertentu masih dapat melangsungkan kehidupan.
Venus sudah lama dikenal sebagai saudara kembar Bumi. Empat setengah milyar tahun yang lalu, keduanya terbentuk dengan radius, massa, kerapatan, bahkan komposisi kimia yang nyaris sama. Tapi, meskipun kembar dalam banyak hal, tetap saja ada perbedaannya. Venus dan Bumi memiliki iklim yang sangat berbeda satu sama lain.

Analisis data European Venus Express menunjukkan penyebab-penyebab mengapa iklim kedua planet kembar ini sangat berbeda. Pada tahap awal pembentukan tata Surya, Venus sepertinya mengalami evolusi dengan cepat dibanding Bumi.
Data dari Venus Express memang mendukung teori jika saudara kembar Bumi ini pernah memiliki air yang menyelimuti permukaan dalam volume yang signifikan. Tapi, tampaknya lautan ini hilang dalam skala waktu geologi yang sangat singkat. Sebagai akibat dari kehilangan air, evolusi geologi permukaan Venus menjadi lebih lambat karena ia tidak dapat membentuk plat tektonik seperti di Bumi. Dengan demikian evolusi biologi juga tidak terjadi. Jadi, Venus sebagai Bumi yang lain di Tata Surya dalam hal iklim dan kondisi habitasi, ternyata berevolusi terlalu cepat pada awalnya dan kemudian evolusi itu menjadi terlalu lambat.
Di awal kelahiran mereka, Bumi dan Venus memang banyak memiliki kesamaan. Namun dalam perkembangannya, Venus ternyata mengalami kehilangan air yang cukup besar, sedangkan Bumi justru kelihalangan sejumlah besar karbondioksida. Di Bumi, CO2 terkunci dalam mineral pada kerak bumi, di lautan, dan unsur-unsur di dalam tumbuhan. Lepasnya sebagian karbondioksida ke atmosfer inilah yang sekarang kita kenal sebagai pemanasan global, dan menjadi penyebab terjadinya perubahan iklim. Di Venus, sebagian besar CO2 masih berada di atmosfer dan temperatur permukaannya sangat panas, mencapai 450 derajat Celsius. Bayangkan, jika kita ada di permukaan Venus, mungkin kita sudah gosong. Akibat dari banyaknya CO2 di atmosfer, evolusi geologi maupun biologi jadi terhenti. Kondisinya terlalu panas untuk bisa terbentuk kehidupan.
Yang menarik, fisis kedua planet ini ternyata sama, dan Venus Express menempatkan perilaku iklim kedua planet dalam kerangka umum yang bisa kita pahami. Saat ini, pekerjaan Venus Express masih belum berakhir, ia baru akan pensiun setelah bulan Mei 2009. Dan pekerjaan lanjutannya akan dilakukan bekerjasama dengan Jepang, melalui pesawat ruang angkasa Venus Climate Orbitter yang akan tiba di Venus bulan Desember 2010.
